STEP Database - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
YOUR USE OF THE SAFETY AND TOXICITY OF EXCIPIENTS FOR PAEDIATRICS ("STEP") DATABASE CONSTITUTES YOUR AGREEMENT TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE.

The Safety and Toxicity of Excipients for Paediatrics ("STEP") Database, including all of its features and content is hosted by the University College London ("UCL"), and may be used solely under the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Use").

These Terms of Use (together with the documents referred to in it) inform you the terms of use for accessing and utilising the STEP Database (the "Database"), whether as a guest or a registered user. Use of the Database includes accessing, browsing, or registering to use the Database.

About the Database: The STEP Database is an user-designed resource that compiles the safety and toxicity data of excipients that is scattered over various sources (whether in public, private or informal sectors) and presents it in one freely accessible source. It holds high level specific safety and toxicity data on target age groups, route of administration, treatment duration, concentration, maximum daily excipient intake and exposure. The focus of the STEP database is to provide clinical and non-clinical adverse effects and tolerability data for each excipient. It is fully searchable and allows filtering the data for paediatrics and adults use. This dual nature of the database, in which safety and toxicity data can be searched in both directions, makes it unique from existing databases.

The critical appraisal of the references is out of scope of the STEP database and so the database will not provide any interpretive comments. Hence, a user will be encouraged to access such information at the source/link provided. Also, the responsibility of using this information appropriately will always remain with the end user using it.

By using the Database, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use and that you agree to comply with them. You may use the Database solely for your own personal use or for research purposes and you may not use the information found on the Database except as provided in these Terms of Use. The Database is not for commercial exploitation (reproduction of the database and extending it as commercial offering) You may not decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works from the Database.

If you do not agree to these terms of use, you must not use the Database.
